Currently, David McDonald serves at the OSI Group as the chief operating officer and president. Before moving up the hierarchical ladder at firm, McDonald served at the company in other capacities, including the firm’s project manager. Previously, David McDonald worked with the North American Meat Institute as the chair. Concurrently, McDonald not only serves as the OSI Group’s president but also serves on the firm’s board of directors. Additionally, he works as the director in charge of the Australia-based OSI International Foods.
Born and raised in the Northeast of Iowa, David McDonald hails from a humble background. To further his studies, David proceeded to the Iowa State University from where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. On completion of his studies, David McDonald made career debut by working with the Chicago based OSI Industries. Through diligence, hard work and commitment, McDonald worked his way up the leadership ladder at the OSI Group to becoming the organization’s president.
David McDonald is such a person who believes in utilizing the locally and readily available resources to positively impact on the people’s lives in his home state, Iowa State. He works hard to ensure he offers sufficient support to Iowa State students with a strong interest in pursuing agricultural entrepreneurship. In this kind endeavor, David McDonald makes arrangements for such students to visit the OSI Group facilities in various locations such as China.
